Do you know what today is?

While most days are a complete blur for most of us, certain dates seem to have quite a bearing. The first of the month would be one of those days.

Suddenly, there’s scrambling.. “What have I achieved in the past month, what do I want to achieve going forward?”

That was me.

Now, I choose PEACE and JOY

I’ve learnt to live each day and pretty much accept it for what it is. In the past I would have lists upon lists, a to-do list for my to-do list :). But I came to the realisation that there is more to life than action items. Action items most of which once done, have little to no impact on the larger impact of life.

I still do what needs to be done and I do it with love and passion and conscious choice. I also have a system for bigger decisions.. based on “if it’s not going to matter in 5 years, it doesn’t matter now..”

That is why I developed my bucket / chuckit list. Here are a few on my list..

Bucket – I love curating gift packages by giving thought to the person receiving and ensuring that they would love it.
Chuckit – Worrying about the future is not something I do anymore, I focus on today, the here and now.

Bucket – travel to one of my bucket list countries, done… and I loved every minute of it!
Chuckit – working straight 9-5 hours. I’m a night thinker so I use those hours for my best creative times and bursts of optimal energy during the day.

Bucket – learning. I love finding innovative ways doing something better,  applying it in my life and sharing that knowledge with others.
Chuckit – endless mindless TV. I ‘d rather paint, read, create or design.

Questions for you:

  • Have you thought about what you really want to do?
  • What you want to do by xx date?
  • How will you spend your time and will it really matter in 5 years?
